Over 80 per cent of candidates pass Baccalaureate examination in vocational schools in Moldova

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC) has announced the results of the Baccalaureate examination in vocational schools, 2021 session. A number of 542 out of 563 candidates registered for taking the exam have managed to pass it. Thus, the rate of passing the examination in the basic session was 86.32 per cent and 83.58 per cent – at the repeated session.
According to MECC, about 6,000 pupils are to take the 2022 Baccalaureate examination in vocational schools. ‘’Thus, one of the priorities set forth in this respect is the need to empower the education system, ensure the digital infrastructure, train teachers and delegate competences to the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation,’’ according to the Education Ministry.
The Baccalaureate examination in vocational schools was organized in the 2020-2021 session following amendments made to the Education Code. The Baccalaureate is organized, in order to give right of access to the higher education at a specialty in the field studied to the graduates of the syllabi of post-secondary vocational education and post-secondary non-tertiary education.
