Experțs from Qatar to identify concrete sectors for eventual investments in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The development of the bilateral cooperation on the political, economic and social dimensions has been considered by acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi and Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.    

At the phone conversation, the sides tackled up-to-date subjects on the bilateral agenda; in particular, the officials highlighted the positive dynamic of the cooperation in the fields of mutual interest.

Acting PM Aureliu Ciocoi thanked the government of the State of Qatar for the humanitarian assistance generously provided to the medical system of Moldova, in order to combat the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.  

At the same time, the interlocutors agreed on the need to boost the political dialogue between the two states, noting the willingness of making high-level visits between Doha and Chisinau. In the context, the sides approached the topic on the maximal use of commercial and economic opportunities between the two countries.   

Thus, the Qatari prime minister expressed willingness to delegate to Chisinau a group of experts, in order to identify, on the spot, concrete sectors, which would be attractive for eventual investments.  

The officials also exchanged opinions on the domestic political developments in both states and emphasized the importance of continuing the cooperation in the multilateral field.
