Chisinau municipality switches to green code of alert in health sector

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Extraordinary Public Health Commission of the Chisinau municipality has established the Green Code alert degree in the health sector, based on the low incidence of COVID-19; yet, the Commission insisted on the compulsoriness of further wearing protection masks in all closed public spaces.     

Given the spread of new varieties and mutations of the COVID-19 virus in the world and regionally, the Commission ruled to maintain the compulsoriness of wearing protection masks in all closed public spaces, in the public transport, at stations, at all public events in open spaces with crowds of people, at one-off rallies, mass rallies, with the observance of the physical distance of at least one metre in these cases. 

The establishment of the Green Code of alert in the health sector makes possible the relaxation of the restrictions imposed to the HORECA sector (hotels, restaurants, coffee houses) and allowing the organizations of camps for children, with physical presence, in the 24 hours regime. A compulsory condition for the work of the camps is for the entire staff to be vaccinated with both doses.

The yellow code of alert in the health sector has earlier been in force in Chisinau.
