Moldovan National Food Safety Agency to be reorganized with new employments in areas

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) will be reorganized, under a cabinet decision. The changes see also the employment of more than 200 veterinary physicians and assistants in Moldova’s districts.
‘’The draft is set to create a framework which will regulate, in a new formula, the organization and work of ANSA ‘’accessibly and efficiently, contributing to the proper carrying out of the mission, activity sectors and tasks with which the Agency is empowered, as well as of the tasks due to be delegated additionally.’’
„The draft on amendment proposes, basically, the employment of 202 veterinary physicians and assistance in areas, who are to be in charge of carrying out the sanitary and veterinary measures, envisaged according to the programme of strategic actions of supervising, prophylaxis and combating the diseases in animals,’’ ANSA said.
The changes suggested will ensure the strengthening of the carrying out of the state control, specific for the food products of animal and vegetal origin, in order to protect people’s health, the interests of consumers as regards the food products and promotion of fair practices in the commerce with food products.
