Road to southern Moldova to be ready in 2022

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The carrying out of the works on construction of the M3 national road, the segments Porumbrei-Cimislia and the bypass road of the Comrat city, was considered at a today’s meeting with representatives of the State Administration of Roads (ASD) and entrepreneur from Turkey. The sides found out that the works were carried out at a half and would be finished in 2022.
Presently, the entrepreneur carries out works of construction of accesses and bridges, setting road layers and building the embankment on the M3 road segment Porumbrei-Cimislia, with a length of 19 km and which has a work progress of about 48 per cent.
“The segment of the M3 national road Porumbrei-Cimislia crosses the unincorporated area of the Cimislia town, villages Porumbrei, Sagaidac, Gradiște, Coștangalia of the Cimislia district. Works of drainage, putting the layers of macadam and asphalt, constructing the embankment, accesses, sidewalks, bridges and building small bridges are carried out, as well as the relocation of high-tension power lines are carried out on the bypass road of the Comrat city, with a length of 18.2 km. The road segment has a progress of works of about 46 per cent,’’ ASD said.
The contracts concluded have an overall value of 59.4 million euros, provided to Moldova’s government as loan on behalf of the European Investment Bank. The entrepreneur is to finish the works in 2022.
