Moldovan Health Ministry approves specialized guide for rehabilitation of patients with COVID-19

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS) today informed that it had approved a national guide titled, Medical rehabilitation of patients with COVID-19 infection.
According to MSMPS, the guide’s goal is to improve the specialized service of medical rehabilitation of people with diverse consequences and functional deficiencies in the wake of the infection with SARS COV-2.
The guide is structured in form of updated recommendations based on international experiences and good practices in organizing the assistance of medical rehabilitation of people with COVID-19.
The document is meant for the providers of specialized medical services of rehabilitation at various levels (physicians rehabilitologists, medical assistants, dietitians, occupational therapists, kineto-therapists, psychologists/psycho-therapists, social assistants, speech specialists), providers of medical services of hospital medical assistance and providers of medical services of primary medical assistance (family physicians, medical assistants, social assistants).
Data put out by MSMPS shows that 257,766 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Moldova so far. As many as 250,719 people have been treated of the new-type coronavirus till present.
