Moldova to host Championship European Euro Beach Soccer League

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Championship European Euro Beach Soccer League, B Division, will be held on the beach football arena of the La Izvor park from Chisinau on 28 July – 1 August.
The Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) informed that the tournament was to take place in 2020, but was postponed over the Covid-19 pandemic.
Under the conditions for the holding of the competition, the first seven national teams of the final classification will qualify for the tournament of promotion to the higher level, due to be hosted by the resort Figueira da Foz (Portugal) on 9-12 September.
The beach football arena from the Moldovan capital is the first stadium of this kind in Moldova. It was built by FMF, with the financial support of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and with the backing of the Chisinau Municipal Council. The arena has a capacity of 1,024 places, of which 244 in the VIP stand, with possibility to add another 500 places for the audience.
