Nine people hit by sunstroke call ambulance in Moldova

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - Nine calls for providing emergency medical assistance to people hit by sunstrokes were registered at the Dispatching Department of the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine Assistance Centre (CNAMUP) on 12-16 July.

The service of the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine Assistance informed that, since the beginning of the summer period, ambulance physicians had recorded 61 calls for reasons of emergencies triggered by thermal agents, of which 46 insolation cases and 15 syncopes caused by high air temperatures.

During May-July, 11 cases of insolation were recorded in the Chisinau city, 13 cases in the northern, 18 cases in the central Moldova, one case in the southern region and three cases in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.
