Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ - The prosecutor’s office of the Sangerei district today ruled to separate and sent to court a criminal file, in which four members of the Building Europe at Home Party (PACE) are charged with hooliganism. Also, as a result of the evading by the PACE leader, Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, of the criminal prosecution body, prosecutors ordered his putting on a wanted list.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office (PG), Cavcaliuc’s repeated refusal to voluntarily come to court following legal summoning, on 16 July, under an ordinance by prosecutors from the prosecutor’s office of the Sangerei district, his detention was ordered to present the charge.
According to the cause’s materials, on 9 July, the PACE leader left Moldova, thus evading the criminal prosecution body, for which reason, prosecutors ordered his putting on a wanted list.
Cavcaliuc is charged with ‘’hooliganism committed by two or more people’’ and ‘’call to commit violence acts against people’’ and along with four of his fellows, he is to bear responsibility under the law. The legislation provides for fine or imprisonment of up to 5 years for such actions.
On 6 April 2021, more PACE members sprinkled brilliant green on the deputy head of the Sangerei district, who needed hospitalization.
