Covid Centre from Gagauz autonomy resumes work

Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - The section of infectious diseases from the Ceadar-Lunga district hospital, which is also centre for COVID-19 patients, resumed its work this week, in accordance with an order by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS).
According to the authorities, five patients were hospitalized at this Covid Centre on 20 July, of whom three ones were had their infection with the new-type coronavirus confirmed. Nine patients are hospitalized in the section today already, of whom seven are confirmed, according to the website www.gagauzinfo.md.
Nine cases of infection with Covid-19 have been identified in the Gagauz autonomy in the last 24 hours. As many as 7,083 people have been infected in the region since the beginning of the pandemic in all. The highest infection rate (3,629) is recorded in the Comrat district.
At the same time, competent authorities said that the vaccination rate was a bit more than four per cent in the Autonomous Territorial Unit Gagauz-Yeri and is the lowest one in Moldova.
