Nine people die in accidents with involvement of motorcycles in Moldova in 2021

Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - Ninety eight accidents with the involvement of motorcycles have occurred in Moldova since early 2021. Nine people died and 101 were seriously injured in the wake of these accidents.

According to data by the National Public Security Inspectorate (INSP), the main reasons of the accidents are driving drunk, high speed and the motorcycles’ technical state.

More than 650 motorcycles were carried to special car parks because of the infringements discovered by patrol policemen.

INSP warns drivers to verify the transport units’ technical state before starting driving the motorcycles, to compulsorily wear reflective elements and observe the Road Traffic Regulation.
