Top European bank's leadership willing to extend cooperation with Moldova, once new government appointed

Chisinau, 23 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had an online discussion with President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso, and her team, the presidential press service has reported.
The EBRD leadership welcomed the support provided by Moldovan citizens to the country’s modernization on 11 July and expressed intention to extend the cooperation with Moldova once the new government is appointed.
The head of state welcomed the EBRD’s willingness to help the new governance in the process of the state’s transformation. I the context, the sides stressed the need to develop programmes on infrastructure, energy efficiency and green energy, buildings’ thermal rehabilitation, development of small and medium-sized enterprises, waste management, as well as projects regarding the climate changes. At the same time, representatives of the Moldovan presidential institution stressed the importance of the aligning, in the long run, of EBRD’s business priorities to Moldova’s country priorities.
