Well-known soloist of Lautarii Folk Music Orchestra of Moldova passes away

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - A soloist of the Lautarii (Fiddlers) National Folk Music Orchestra, Lidia Bejenaru, has died. The director general of the Nicolae Sulac National Palace, Andrei Locoman, has made public the information.
Lidia Bejenaru was born in the Tiplesti village, central Sangerei district, in a numerous family, on 3 May 1953. He finished the Elena Sarbu Cultural Enlightment School during 1968-1971. As of 1971 during one year, Bejenaru worked as methodologist at the community centre from Edinet, after which – soloist at the Ciocarlia orchestra from Edinet and then of the folk music orchestras Mugurel (1973-74) and Lautarii (The Fiddlers) (as of 1978) of the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic. In 1993, she was awarded the Civic Merit medal. The first and only disc of the departed singer, M-a cuprins un dor de mama (A longing for mother overwhelmed me) appeared after 20 years of work on stage.
In 1971, Lidia Bejenaru married with the future conductor of the Lautarii Folk Music Orchestra, Nicolae Botgros. They have one child, violin player Cornel Botgros.
