National Food Safety Agency inspectors discover more infringements at trade units from Moldova

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - The department for supervision of trade, distribution and consumption of food products at the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) has reported more infringements following the analysis of official controls received from territorial subdivisions.
According to the institution, on 16-22 July, ANSA inspectors carried out 197 official controls, of which: 142 at trade units, 30 at public nourishment units, 12 at general education institutions, 7 at early education institutions and 2 ones at warehouses.
As a result of official controls, 52 prescriptions were issued and 49 official reports on contravention were compiled. Also, the work’s suspension was instructed in six cases.
"The non-compliances discovered deal with the commercialization of food products with expired validity term; lack of marking; violation of sanitary regulations; non-posting of information for consumers at visible place; lack of registers for the record of temperatures in spaces; non-providing of the traceability; lack of act of origin and certificates of quality; non-observance of products’ neighbourhood; non-observance of the working schedule,’’ ANSA said.
At the same time, a quality of 120.41 kg products of animal and non-animal origin and five packing units were withdrawn from trade following controls.
