Vaccination point inaugurated at Chisinau Airport

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS) and the National Public Health Agency (ANSP) have opened a vaccination point at the Chisinau International Airport and all people can be vaccinated with the serums available: AstraZeneca, Pfizer or Johnson&Johnson. The vaccination is for free and it is necessary to present only the identity card.   

„Our goal is to immunize 70 per cent of Moldova’s population, in order to ensure the collective immunity which will allow us to get out of the pandemic. In this context, we extend all necessary actions, in order to bring the vaccination closer to citizens. It remains only for the people to understand the importance and benefits of the immunization, which is presently the only chance to return to a normal life,’’ the state secretary at MSMPS, Denis Cernelea, said.  

According to the official, the inauguration of the vaccination point was possible due to the efficient cooperation with the administration of the Chisinau International Airport.    

„We support the authorities’ initiative and we are happy that we can contribute to this desideratum. The return to normal can be achieved only by joint efforts and through the support and promotion of vaccination among the residents. Now, all passengers of the Chisinau International Airport have possibility to administer one of the three vaccines available at the headquarters of the terminal, common zone. The flights through the Chisinau International Airport mean, first of all, safety and comfort; therefore, besides the opportunity of vaccination at the Airport, the Avia Invest company daily implements all safety measures, in order to prevent and not allow the spread of the pandemic,’’ the spokeswoman of Avia Invest, Rodica, Rusu, said.  

The vaccination point is opened during 8:00-20:00.

As many as 955.799 vaccine doses have been administered in Moldova since the starting of the vaccination campaign in March 2021.
