As many as 89 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,838 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 89 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which three import ones. As many as 258,713 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), three out of all new cases registered today are among medical employees – one physician, one medical assistant and one representative of the auxiliary staff.

As many as 228 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 51 are in extremely serious condition (nine patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 609 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 21,623 are under supervision at home.

Another 64 people have been treated. As many as 251,553 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another one death triggered by COVID-19 and 6,245 people have died of coronavirus in all.
