Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) today informed that it urges the residents to strictly observe the anti-fire rules during the hot weather.
According to IGSU, meteorologists forecast air temperatures between +33 and +35 Celsius degrees. In the context, citizens are warned that, in conditions of high air temperatures and low humidity, any spark can trigger fire.
People are asked to avoid the use of open fire nearby dwelling areas, forests and cereals fields, in order to prevent fires and their extension. At the same time, adults are asked to monitor their children, not to allow them playing with fire sources.
Also, specialists warn that the high air temperatures pose risk especially for elderly people, children and patients with chronic diseases, especially cardiovascular and respiratory ones. They recommend that people avoid bathing in the sun, especially in peak hours, protect them from sunrays in cool places, in the shade and drink liquids.
