First candidates for elections to local legislative body registered in Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia

Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - The electoral commission of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauz-Yeri has registered the first candidates for the elections to the People’s Assembly from the autonomy (APG).

According to the regional media, the most strived for is the sector of the constituency No 1 from Comrat, where three candidates have already registered for one MP mandate: Nicolai Dudoglo, Irina Zelenscaia and Serghei Chiulaflî.

Two candidates are recorded in the sectors 5 (Ceadar-Lunga) and 15 (Bujac settlement) each.

One candidate is registered in other electoral sectors each, according to the website www.gagauzinfo.md.

The elections to APG will be held on 19 September. The region’s citizens will have to elect by direct vote 35 local MPs for a four-year mandate.
