The leadership of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS) presented data to this effect at a news conference today.

According to MSMPS, Moldova has received over 1 million 300,000 doses of vaccine so far; the last 100,000 doses have recently come from Romania. Out of all vaccines received, the stocks of AstraZeneca were used at a level of more than 95 per cent, Sputnik V – 95.7 per cent, Pfizer – about 62 per cent, Sinopharm – over 32 per cent, Sinovac – over 75 per cent and Johnson&Johnson – over 72 per cent.

The MSMPS leadership reiterated the need to boost the process of immunization, especially after the Delta variant of the virus was confirmed in Moldova, with more than 500 vaccination points opened in Moldova to this end.

A number of 474 out of all people vaccinated were detected positive with COVID-19 after receiving the vaccine; yet, none has had a serious form of the disease.
