One million doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccines administered in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ - One million of doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccine have been administered since 2 March 2021, when the immunization campaign s started and so far in Moldova. The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS) has made statements to this effect.
According to MSMPS, the person who reached the threshold of 1,000,000 people is a 48-year-old woman Axenia Ungureanu, who was vaccinated at the Office of Family Physicians from Bozieni, central Hancesti district.
“This is a figure which brings hope, a future without COVID-19, without restrictions and a sounder environment. We thank for the care for the personal health and the one of the beloved people. You are an example of responsibility and involvement in the society’s well-being!
We also express gratitude for the work of the medical employees in this fight against Sars-Cov-2 virus, as well as their involvement in the vaccination process,’’ reads a posting published on the webpage of MSMPS.
The health sector authorities reiterate the need to speed up the vaccination process, in order to avoid a new wave of infections with the Delta variant of COVID-19, which already spreads in Moldova.
