Fourteen out of 101 MPs of Moldova young people

Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ - Fourteen out of the 101 lawmakers of Moldova are young people with ages up to 35 years. The average age of the MPs of the parliament of the 11th legislative period is 47 years.
According to data by the parliament’s communication and public relations general department, the youngest lawmaker is Eugeniu Sinchevici, who turned 22. He studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences from Paris and is at his first mandate. Sinchevici is the second youngest lawmaker in the history of Moldova’s parliament, after the Communist MP Mihail Poleanschi, who became lawmaker at the age of 21 years in 2001.
Marcela Nistor, aged 27 and Andrian Balutel, aged 28, are among the youngest MPs of the new legislative period. All three lawmakers were elected on the list of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS).
The youngest MP of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists is Diana Caraman, born in 1990, economist by profession.
The youngest lawmaker of the Shor Party is Ilan Shor, born in 1987.
The senior MP of the parliament of the 11th legislative period is Eduard Smirnov (Block of Communists and Socialists), who is 81 years old.
Among the eldest lawmakers, there is also Vladimir Voronin, who turned 80 and MP Oazu Nantoi – 73 years old.
