As many as 166 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,601 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 166 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 16 import ones. As many as 259,018 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), one out of all new cases registered today is among medical employees – one medical assistant.

As many as 319 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 55 are in extremely serious condition (11 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 708 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 23,172 are under supervision at home.

Another 96 people have been treated. As many as 251,741people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another three deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,250 people have died of coronavirus in all.
