Parliament gives special copies of Moldova's Constituition to Ion Creanga Library

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Constitution understood by children has become available to the readers of the Ion Creanga National Library for Children. The parliament gave for free 100 copies, on the occasion of the Constitution Day, marked today, the parliament’s communication and public relations general department has reported.  

The special publication, elaborated by the parliament’s secretariat, is meant for the pre-school children, pupils from the elementary school and high school. It is written in a simple way, preserving the essential contest of the country’s Fundamental Law; the text explains the people’s rights and duties, describes the basic duties of the Parliament, Government and Presidency, explains the significance of the judicial authority, economy and public money, as well as the role of the Constitutional Court. The information, reproduced to children in an accessible way, is completed with coloured and infographic illustrations, becoming more attractive and easy to understand.    

On the eve of the 27th anniversary of Moldova’s Constitution, the parliament’s territorial information offices (OTIP) organized more public events in the country’s northern, central and southern regions.

Moldova’s Constitution Day is annually marked on 29 July. The Fundamental Law was adopted on 29 July 1994 and entered into force on 27 August 1994.
