Sheriff Tiraspol football team qualifies for third round of Champions League

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Sheriff Tiraspol team has qualified for the third preliminary round of the Champions League.

The Tiraspol team on 28 July evening defeated the team Alashkert Yerevan with the score 3:1 at a match held on the stadium from Tiraspol, after the champion of Moldova had won the first match with this team in Yerevan with the score 1:0.

In the next phase of the competition, the Tiraspol team will meet the football champion of Serbia, FK Crevna Zvezda. The first away match will take place on 3 or 4 August and the return match will be held on the Tiraspol stadium on 10 August.

Sheriff Tiraspol has ensured at least the participation in the groups UEFA Conference League – a competition set up in 2021.
