Moldovan president conveys message on 27th anniversary of Constitution's adoption

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today conveyed a message on the occasion of the Constitution Day. Adopted on 29 July 1994, the Fundamental Law entered into force on 27 August of the same year and was an important stage in the foundation of the ‘’sovereign and independent, unitary and indivisible’’ state, the presidential press service has reported.
„During these 27 years, Moldova’s Constitution underwent more changes. Yet, the fundamental principles of the Supreme Law have remained unchanged, which proclaims as supreme and guaranteed values the civic peace, democracy, dignity, human rights and freedoms, free development of the human personality, justice and political pluralism, as well as the separation of the state powers, independence of justice, rule of law state,’’ the message reads.
„These are fundamental principles, on which we must eventually edify a rule of law state, in which each person is able to assert himself/herself as personality,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
