Over 30,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine brought to Moldova

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - A consignment of 30,420 doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccine, produced by the Pfizer/BioNTech pharmaceutical company, was brought to Chisinau today. It is about the first portion out of the consignment of 700,830 doses purchased by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), through the Office of Foreign Assistance Programmes’ Management.
The vaccine was deposited at the National Public Health Agency and is to be distributed proportionally at all vaccination points of Moldova. On 23 July 2021, Moldova received a consignment of 100,620 doses of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine provided by Romania’s government for free.
As many as 1,008,885 doses of vaccine have been administered in Moldova so far and 469,986 people have been fully immunized.
