Another suspect detained in file of former Directorate 5 of Moldova's Interior Ministry

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes (PCCOCS) today informed that another suspect had been detained in the file of the former Directorate 5 of the Interior Ministry (MAI) today morning.

According to PCCOCS, since today morning, law-enforcers have made searches in the vehicle and at the home of another person present in the file, who was holding leadership offices at MAI’s General Police Inspectorate at the time of committing the offences.

Following the searches, electronic devises and acts were taken. Subsequently, the suspect person was detained and is heard.

It is worth mentioning that the file is considered through the light of committing of the following offences: ‘’abuse of power,’’ ‘’embezzlement of state’s wealth,’’ ‘’illegal crossing of state border,’’ ‘’divulging of state secret,’’ and ‘’forgery of public documents.’’

Mass media spread information that the detained person would be the former defence minister, former head of MAI’s General Police Inspectorate Alexandru Pinzari.
