National Bank of Romania to provide consultancy in banking sector to institutions from Moldova

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Ministry of Investments and European Projects from Romania has informed that it would implement a project on institutional technical assistance in the banking sector from Moldova.
The Romanian ministry said that it had won at the European Commission a twinning project worth 1.72 million euros, within which it would provide assistance to the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) and the National Commission of Financial Market from Moldova, for support in the implementation of reforms dealing with the EU-Moldova Association Agreement/Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area.
Romania, in its capacity of project leader, is represented by the National Bank of Romania, Financial Supervision Authority and the National Authority for Consumers’ Protection and its junior partners are De Nederlandsche Bank from the Netherlands and Lietuvos Bankas from Lithuania.
The project’s value is 1.72 million euros and it will start in next September, with a period of implementation of 24 years.
