Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - The National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) reminds consumers to be cautious during the hot weather and gives recommendations, in order to avoid the risk of purchasing noncompliant food products on this period.
„The sun, hot weather and the perishable goods represent one of the most dangerous combinations in the warm season. Altered beverages and food, along with the insufficiently washed fruits and vegetables can trigger toxi-infections, the symptoms of which are felt several hours after the consumption. The most dangerous foodstuffs associated with the appearance of digestive diseases, especially in summer, are the meat, salami and sausages, eggs, dairy products, fish. A perfect environment for the multiplication of dangerous microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, emerges under the action of heat and humidity specific for this season,’’ ANSA said.
