Over 60 percent of teachers in Chisinau vaccinated

Chisinau, 2 August /MOLDPRES/- During the vaccination marathon, held between July 30-31, 850 teachers were vaccinated at the Municipal Vaccination Center in Chisinau.

Deputy Mayor Olga Ursu, who chaired the online meeting of the Chisinau municipality today called on officials of the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sports to make more efforts to hold all teachers in the municipal education system accountable for the need for anti-vaccine immunization. "In order to resume the educational process with the physical presence of students and teachers in the classrooms, it is necessary to vaccinate 70 percent of the teaching staff," Ursu said.

Following the vaccination marathon, held between July 30-31, 850 people were vaccinated, reaching the immunization figure of over 60 percent of the total number of teachers working in municipal educational institutions.

During the vaccination marathon, the Municipal Vaccination Center made the following types of vaccine available to staff working in municipal educational institutions: Pfizer-BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Sinovac and Sputnik-V (dose 2).
