Campaign -A clean city, a healthy environment held in Ialoveni

Chisinau, 2 August /MOLDPRES/- Ialoveni city hall in partnership with the Regional Development Agency (ADR) Centru organized at the end of last week an action to clean up a portion of Ișnovăț River that crosses the entire Ialoveni district.

Under the motto "A clean city, a healthy environment!", ADR Centru team accompanied by representatives of the local administration, local kindergartens, the Local Youth Council and the Association of Natives collected dozens of garbage bags, plastic containers and other waste , which were loaded and disposed of at an authorized landfill.

"Sanitation actions have become a tradition of the ADR Center team. In the previous years, several sanitation campaigns and environmentally friendly activities were organized ", the Agency said.

The activity was organized within the Moldovan-Slovak project Drinking water in Ialoveni: improving the quality of life in Ialoveni through improved access to drinking water and awareness about water management.

The project envisages the rehabilitation of part of the water supply system in Ialoveni (1035 m) to ensure a global and reliable coverage of the city of Ialoveni, as well as collaboration with the inhabitants of the city and its surroundings to increase awareness of water management and a responsible approach of the environment.

The works provided in the project are estimated, according to the enterprise contract, at over three million lei. The project is financially supported by Slovakia with 199,950 euros and co-financed by the Senec-Pezinok Regional Development Agency with 20,000 euros.
