More than 2,000 drivers fined on holidays

Chisinau, 2 August /MOLDPRES/- During the holidays, more than 2,200 drivers were investigated by employees of the National Inspectorate of Public Safety / INSP / because they drove with deviations, of which 1,776 drivers exceeded the speed limit.
According to INSP data, during this period, six drivers were found drunk. Another 285 drivers were fined for violating the rules of stopping and not giving priority to pedestrians and other road traffic participants, and 151 for failing to fasten their seat belts.
INSP data show that in the first half of 2021, 1027 road accidents were registered, as a result of which 93 people died and 1,171 injured.
