Moldovan speaker has phone conversation with Ukrainian counterpart

Chisinau,2 August /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu had a telephone conversation today with Dmitry Razumkov, President of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
During the conversation, bilateral cooperation on the parliamentary dimension was discussed. For better cooperation, the officials agreed to exchange visits as soon as possible.
"We have many similar problems that need to be solved, and more opportunities and capacities for cooperation", he said.
The speaker noted that soon, both our country and Ukraine will celebrate 30 years since independence. On this occasion, Igor Grosu sent his warmest congratulations to his Ukrainian counterpart, giving assurances that for the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine has been and will remain a good neighbor and a credible partner.
"Unfortunately, both countries have common problems: poverty, corruption and unresolved regional conflicts," Igor Grosu stressed, assuring Dmitri Razumkov that Moldova respects Ukraine's territorial integrity and pleads for peace and tranquility in the region.
In the end, Igor Grosu and Dmitri Razumkov agreed to intensify cooperation efforts and do everything possible to ensure that citizens of both countries have security and a better life.
