Baccalaureate exam taken by about 79% of candidates

Chisinau, 4 August /MOLDPRES/- 3,139 candidates registered for the additional session this year. About 33% of the young people who participated in this session passed the exam, therefore another 1,038 candidates obtained the Baccalaureate diplomas. The number of graduates who passed the national Baccalaureate exam this year is 12,880, according to the final results published by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC).

At the 2021 Baccalaureate session, 16,213 candidates were admitted, out of which 10914 from high schools, 4601 from colleges, 187 from universities, 342 candidates who had registered abroad and 169 arrears from previous sessions.
Of the 187 registered candidates from universities, 118 passed the national Baccalaureate exam, which represents 63.1%. The promotion rate of candidates who have registered abroad is 35.38%. Thus, out of the 342 candidates, 121 passed the national Baccalaureate exam. Of the 169 arrears registered in the previous sessions, 26 candidates passed the exam, which is 15.38%.

The total rate of the national Baccalaureate exam increased by 2.45 percentage points compared to 2019 and is 79.44%. The average obtained by graduates is also increasing, and for high school candidates the average marks at the national Baccalaureate exam is 7.19, compared to 7.04 in 2019.
