Customs Service revenues increased by 25% compared to last year

Chisinau, 4 August /MOLDPRES/- Revenues of the Customs Service in the first seven months of 2021 amount to about 15 billion lei / over 700 million euros /, increasing by 25.5% compared to the revenues of the same period of 2020.
"The revenue figure is increasing by over 21% compared to 2019 (January-July), even if at that time the activity of economic agents was not carried out in the conditions of the crisis caused by the pandemic. At the same time, in July of this year, the Customs Service collected over 2.3 billion lei from the state budget, by about 18% more than in the similar month of 2020 ", the Customs Service said.
During the last month, 50,310 customs declarations were made, and the flow of means of transport was 291,237 crossings. The busiest customs posts were Leuseni and Sculeni, with 80,426 and 49,953 crossings, respectively.
"The Customs Service operates at increased capacity, in the context of the trend specific to the summer period of increasing the flow of border transport. We call on cross-border traffic participants to plan their route before setting off and to move to less border crossings.
