Moldovan, Ukrainian officials approach cooperation, projects

Chisinau, 6 August /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu held a telephone conversation today with Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, who congratulated him on inauguration of the new government.
According to the MAEIE press service, the discussions focused on key elements of the cooperation agenda, mentioning Moldova's willingness to boost the activity within the strategic partnership with Ukraine, including in the field of European integration in the format - Republic of Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, as well as to strengthen political dialogue at all levels.
Nicu Popescu and Dmytro Kuleba set as common priorities for the next period the implementation of infrastructure projects, cooperation in energy and intensification of trade and economic exchanges.
The two officials also exchanged views on the situation in eastern Ukraine. In this context, Nicu Popescu reiterated Moldova's position in firm support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine in strict accordance with internationally recognized borders.
