PABSEC Secretary General on visit to Chisinau

Chisinau, 9 August /MOLDPRES/- Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) Asaf Hajiyev is visiting Chisinau today, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

During the day, the official will have a meeting with Speaker Igor Grosu to approach topical issues.

The visit's agenda also includes a meeting with Zinaida Greceanii, the head of the Communist and Socialist Bloc.

Asaf Hajiyev is elected for a term of five years by the General Assembly at the proposal of the Bureau. The official was elected Secretary General of the PABSEC in 2015.

PABSEC was set up in 1993 in Istanbul. Currently, the assembly includes delegations of the parliaments of 12 member states: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine.
