Sheriff Tiraspol to play for Champions League qualification

Chisinau, 10 August /MOLDPRES/- Sheriff Tiraspol team will play tonight the return match, on its own field, with the Red Star Belgrade team.

An equal match or a victory qualifies Sheriff in the Champions League.

Earlier, in the match played at the stadium in Belgrade, the two teams drew 1-1. If the Serbian team wins, Sheriff Tiraspol will play in the Europa League play-off.

In the first preliminary round, Sheriff passed Teuta (Albania), and in the second he eliminated Alashkert (Armenia), ensuring at least his participation in the Europa Conference League groups.

According to statistics, the Tiraspol team will play its 125th European Cup match. Sheriff recorded 36 wins, 37 draws and was defeated 51 times.
