Moldovan ministers voted for National Civil Aviation Security Program

Chisinau, 12 August /MOLDPRES/- At today's meeting the cabinet approved National Civil Aviation Security Program.

According to the government, pending the entry into force of the decision, airport operators, air carriers, the Border Police, air navigation service providers and other entities covered by the National Civil Aviation Security Program shall develop and / or bring security programs and / or procedures in accordance with this Program.

“Within one year from the date of entry into force of this decision, the Civil Aviation Authority will develop the Guide for known shippers and the Checklist for the validation of known shippers. The National Behavioral Detection Program, the provisions and additional security measures regarding the implementation of basic standards in the field of aviation security will be developed by the Civil Aviation Authority in accordance with the provisions and terms of the Agreement on the Common Aviation Area between Moldova and the European Union. its members, signed in Brussels on 26 June 2012 ", the document reads.

The Civil Aviation Authority may also develop additional interim security provisions and measures regarding the implementation of basic standards in the field of aviation security. The control over the execution of the present decision is entrusted to the Ministry of Economy.

The decision shall enter into force six months after its publication in the Official Journal of the Republic of Moldova.
