Chisinau, 12 August /MOLDPRES/- Buiucani-based Chisinau Court today admitted the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office's request to apply preventive measure to citizen Veaceslav Platon - 30 day-arrest with the announcement of search for detention and execution of the preventive measure.

The decision comes as a result of the defendant's failure to show up at the court hearing, which aimed at retrialing the case in which he is accused of active corruption and fraud.

He is also accused that in 2016, being the manager with the majority stake in three insurance companies, held through intermediaries, he organized the theft of the money held on the companies' accounts, according to the quoted source.
