Moldovan, U.S. officials discuss justice reform

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/- Significant contribution to the implementation of democratic reforms, financial assistance and support provided over time by the USA to the Republic of Moldova were examined today at a meeting between Speaker Igor Grosu and Laura Hruby, in charge of ad interim affairs, Deputy Head of the US Diplomatic Mission in Chisinau, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The discussions also focused on cooperation in key areas, such as the implementation of justice reform and the fight against corruption in our country.
Igor Grosu thanked the United States of America for the constant support and significant financial assistance provided to our country. He stressed the importance of this considerable support for the economic development of Moldova, the consolidation of democracy and European integration.
"We continue to count on the support of the United States of America in supporting the reform processes," said Igor Grosu.
The speaker received assurances that the Republic of Moldova will benefit from the necessary technical assistance and the constant support of the USA in the development process of the country.
Igor Grosu expressed his gratitude for the support offered and the US contribution in the joint effort to overcome the pandemic crisis.
