National Commission for Public Health approved new measures for prevention, control of COVID-19 infection

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/- Members of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission announced at today's meeting the establishment of the Code Orange alert at national level and approved a set of new recommendations for the prevention and control of COVID-19 infection, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The decision enters into force on August 16 this year. At the same time, the extraordinary territorial commissions of public health will be able to institute public health measures in accordance with the degree of alert in the managed administrative territory.

According to the decision of the commission, the rules for crossing the state border on the direction of entry into the Republic of Moldova have been optimized, which allows unrestricted entry to the presentation:

- the vaccination certificate against the SARS-CoV-2 virus after 14 days from the completion of the complete vaccination schedule;

- presentation of the negative result of an RT-PCR test for SARS-CoV2 virus infection not older than 72 hours or the certified negative result of a rapid antigen test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection not older than 48 hours;

- presentation of the confirmatory medical conclusion in the case of persons who have undergone COVID-19, in the period between the 15th and 180th day (6 months) or of a valid confirmation of the presence of anti-COVID-19 antibodies for a period of 90 days from the date of the investigation.

The persons who do not present the mentioned documents when crossing the state border, will be placed in self-isolation for a period of 14 days, will fill in the epidemiological form and will sign a declaration on their own responsibility that they will respect the self-isolation regime, in the declared places. The self-isolation regimen can be discontinued after the 7th day if it performs a COVID-19 PCR test or rapid SARS CoV-2 Ag diagnostic test, and its result is negative by a confirmed act.

Also today, during the CNESP meeting, it was decided to develop and implement digital solutions to streamline the control of compliance with COVID-19 infection prevention and control measures:

- the interoperable digital certificate of vaccination, testing and cure of COVID-19;

- the electronic system to fill out on-line the epidemiological form for passengers crossing the state border of the Republic of Moldova by way of entry;

- the mobile application for the supervision of persons for whom a regime of self-isolation and / or treatment at home is established.

At the same time, the document provides certain restrictions on access to public catering institutions in enclosed spaces, theaters, museums, cinemas, libraries, leisure areas, to festivities (weddings, birthdays, birthdays, etc.), to mass events (festivals , fairs, etc.,), in sports centers and pools. They will be organized with the participation of visitors / spectators within the limit of 50% of the maximum capacity of the space, but not more than 250 people in an enclosed space, in strict compliance with the rules of health protection. At the same time, it will be mandatory to wear protective masks and respect the physical distance of at least one meter, at public events in open spaces.

The CNESP decision established the mandatory measures for the prevention and control of COVID-19 infection, at national level:

* Mandatory wearing of protective masks in all closed public spaces, including public transport, as well as in open spaces where it is not possible to observe a physical distance of at least 1 meter. The mask should cover both the mouth and the nose.

* Observance of the physical distance between persons of at least 1 (one) meter, except in cases where, by special provisions, it is established the observance of another distance between persons.

* Observance of hand hygiene rules.

* Respect the rules of respiratory hygiene.

* Observance, under one's own responsibility, of the self-isolation regime by the persons to whom the respective regime is established.

* Compliance by private people who are in the territories or institutions with quarantine regime of the measures imposed by the authorities.

* Personal monitoring by each individual of the state of health. Early referral to a family doctor or healthcare institution for the onset of specific symptoms of COVID-19 infection.
