Moldovan deputy premier meets OSCE Special Representative for Transnistrian settlement

Chisinau, 16 August /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Vlad Kulminski and head of the Office for Reintegration Policy Alin Gvidiani met with OSCE Special Representative for Transnistrian settlement Thomas Mayr-Harting, the Office for Reintegration Policy has reported.
The officials exchanged views on a number of current issues concerning the Transnistrian issue, Chisinau's approach to them, as well as the priority objectives proposed for implementation and which are set out in the Activity Program of the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
The Moldovan side voiced willingness to participate in a new round of negotiations in the 5 + 2 format by addressing the issues in all three baskets on the agenda and developing a clear perspective for progress in the regulatory process, as well as willingness to involve in an interactive dialogue at a potential Bavarian conference to promote confidence-building measures.
It was noted that the Republic of Moldova still relies on the support of the OSCE Presidency-in-Office in order to boost the processes on the Transnistrian dimension and solve current problems in the interests of the inhabitants of both banks of the Dniester.
