As many as 200 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 16 August /MOLDPRES/- A number of 3,853 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 200 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, including 174 unvaccinated. As many as 262,244 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), two cases are among medical employees.

As many as 385 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 42 are in extremely serious condition (5 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,050 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 24,676 are under supervision at home.

Another 117 people have been treated. As many as 254,143 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of five other deaths caused by the new coronavirus, the death toll reached 6,313.
