Meeting of Superior Council of Magistracy failed due to lack of quorum

Chisinau, 17 August /MOLDPRES/- Meeting of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM), scheduled for today, failed due to lack of quorum. Only seven of the 12 members of the CSM attended the meeting.
"There were only seven members present. The Prosecutor General and the Minister of Justice did not come, as they are present at the meeting of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP). We postponed the meeting ", CSM acting head Dorel Musteață said.
He was dissatisfied that the CSP meeting was scheduled for the same day as the CSM.
The last meeting of the Superior Council of Magistracy took place on June 15. Meetings scheduled for 6 July and 12 August have been postponed.
