Chisinau, 19 August /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova will soon get a new grant worth 100 million Japanese yen on behalf of Japan, equivalent to about 800,000 euros. The money will be used for the purchasing and delivery of the medial equipment within the programme on economic and social development, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The cabinet today approved a draft law on the ratification of the agreement on grant, compiled through exchange of notes, between the two governments, signed in late 2020. The grant provided by the Japanese government will contribute to the strengthening of Moldova’s health system through buying equipment, necessary medical products or services, based on a pre-established list.
The fiscal and customs facilities related to the carrying out of projects on technical and investment assistance underway, which are under the action of international treaties, Moldova is party to, will be enforced at the treaty’s implementation.
