As many as 426 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 19 August /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,146 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 426 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 361 among non-vaccinated people and 28 of which are import ones. As many as 263,500 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far. 

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 12 out of the new cases are among medical employees (two physicians, eight medical assistants and two representatives of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 501 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 47 are in extremely serious condition (seven patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,359 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 24,029 are under supervision at home.

Another 197 people have been treated. As many as 254,649 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another ten deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,338 people have died of coronavirus in all.
