Moldova's State Fiscal Service urges tax payers to fufill obligations before public budget

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/ - The State Fiscal Service (SFS) today urged the tax payers to avoid the groundless triggering of the insolvency state, in order to evade the fulfillment of the obligations towards the national public budget and other creditors.
According to SFS, on 1 January – 15 August 2021, SFS decision-makers compiled 20 reports on the finding out of the offence, according to which they established that the actions of some tax payers and/or people holding responsibility positions met the constituent elements of offences of deliberate insolvency and fictitious insolvency.
“The offences were ascertained based on the provisions of the criminal procedure code and the fiscal code, under which the fiscal body is empowered with the duty of finding out the offences provided for in the Article 252, Deliberate Insolvency, and Article 252 Fictitious Insolvency from the Criminal Code.
The reports on the finding out of the offence were submitted to the criminal prosecution body of the State Fiscal Service and as a result, 20 criminal files were opened under the Criminal Code.
