As many as 149 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 22 August /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,787 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 149 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 125 among non-vaccinated people. Two of these cases which are import ones. As many as 264,432 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), three out of the new cases are among medical employees (two medical assistants and one representative of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 559 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 42 are in extremely serious condition.

In the context, 1,796 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 22,563 are under supervision at home.

Another 191 people have been treated. As many as 255,279 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another seven deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,363 people have died of coronavirus in all.
