Moldovan president says in Kiev Moldova firmly reaffirms support for Ukraine's sovereignty, territorial integrity

Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu participates in the Summon on the launch of the Crimea Platform in Kiev today, the presidential press service has reported.
In her message given along with the other heads of state and governments, the Moldovan president said that her participation in the event signified the reaffirmation of Moldova’s firm support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, within its internationally recognized borders.
In her speech, Maia Sandu also said that Moldova was a state devoted to peace and peaceful, diplomatic solutions, having a firm commitment in this respect. ‘’We should everybody return to the peaceful and political settlement of litigations. We must together combat the threats to the regional security. We should everybody set a different way – a constructive and sustainable one,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
Fourteen heads of state and government out of the total number of 44 international delegations, including high-ranking officials of the European Union, announced their presence at the Summit on inauguration of the Crimea Platform, held in Kiev today.
The message by President Maia Sandu at the Summit on the launch of the Crimea Platform is placed on the Moldovan Presidency’s website in the Romanian, Russian and English languages.
